I wanted to take a few moments today to send along a short note expressing my gratitude concerning the high quality of service we have received from your company in the last six months. WHCA has a fairly large, yet aging fleet of 8 twelve-passenger, 2- wheelchair equipped buses with Bruan lifts, and 2 low-floor wheelchair accessible mini-vans with Braun ramps. We operate 5 days a week 10 hours a day in a very large geographical area - Washington and Hancock counties.
When I started as Fleet Manager at WHCA in June, 2011, our entire fleet was in desperate need of lift overhauls and there was no existing preventive maintenance program set up here at WHCA. In an effort to remedy this, I contacted your office and was welcomed with expert advice, great rates, friendly attitudes and most importantly, a flexible work schedule.My
My goal was to have your company go through our entire fleet and bring our lifts up to the standards they should be at. Then, once that is completed, begin a preventive maintenance program that will insure 100% operational capability for our passengers and drivers. As our corrective maintenance schedule developed, I met your lift technician Brett Bowden, who was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I watched very closely his work habits, job skills, and housekeeping abilities on a couple jobs, and I was immediately impressed by Brett's meticulous eye on details and system operations. As Brett worked on our buses electrical systems, he noticed something that was critical to passenger and driver safety, a short on the undercarriage wiring cables from the auxiliary battery to the lift. This positive hot wire coming from the battery was cracked and the insulation was worn down to just threads and rubbing on the bus frame - near the fuel tank. Sparks and fuel are not a good pair, and thanks to Brett's meticulous work habits, he noticed this and corrected the problem BEFORE a serious tragedy happened.
Brett doesn't do just the basics of a job; he goes above and beyond on any task assigned to him. He is open, honest, and if something doesn't look right, he will work on it until it is done right. I admire his strong, common sense work ethics and wanted to let you know that you are very fortunate to have someone like Brett working for you. He is an exemplary employee and I look forward with confidence knowing our preventive maintenance program is in such good hands.
